Hainan province, has issued a level 4 high-temperature warning on May 3rd. The Hainan Provincial Meteorological Bureau expects that on May 4th (today), Yangpu District as well as Ding'an, Tunchang, Chengmai, Danzhou, Lingao, Baisha, Changjiang and Dongfang, nine cities and counties in total, will experience high temperatures

Stress testing for Hainan Island customs closure is underway. The scope of the stress testing will include a comprehensive review of the port's operations, including its cargo handling, warehousing, and logistics facilities. The testing will also assess the port's ability to handle increased volumes of traffic and to maintain its current level of service in the event of customs closure.

Jetstar Asia will resume services between Singapore and Haikou on April 29th 2023, following a three-year suspension due to the Covid-19 pandemic, just in time for the Labour Day long weekend.

Bolloré Logistics has added a new charter service to Hainan to cater for the island's duty-free shopping demand. The weekly service was launched after the logistics operator signed a cooperation agreement with the Hainan Provincial Bureau of International Economic Development (IEDB) and Haikou Comprehensive Bonded Zone Management Committee.
