Haikou National Geological Volcano Park (火山口地质公园) is located 15 km to the southwest of Haikou and covers an area of 108 km2 it’s a dormant volcano which last erupted some 11,500 years ago. The Mei she river Feng Xiang wetland park covers an area of around 200 acres and is capable of treating 5,000 tons of wastewater from the Mei she river each day. Last weekend The Haikou Guide, visited the park to discover what it's all about.
