Zhou Hongbo Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, highlighted the project’s role in establishing Sanya as a hub for both Chinese companies going global and international companies entering China. The collaboration with Geely is expected to attract supply chain enterprises, particularly in Southeast Asia, and drive Sanya’s growth in international trade and investment. The project will focus on new energy vehicles, overseas investments, and high-level talent development.

The cooperation agreement includes initiatives such as an automotive industry guidance fund, assistance with foreign investment approvals, and policy incentives. These efforts aim to attract related businesses to the Geely AHTV project in Malaysia and facilitate international and domestic business expansions.
