Advisories from the Hainan Meteorological Service

Local authorities are recommending precautionary measures in response to the approaching system:

Marine activities: Fishing vessels and offshore operations in the central and northern South China Sea should closely monitor updates and adjust schedules to avoid hazardous conditions.

Urban areas: Cities and towns are advised to manage road traffic in flood-prone areas, ensure safety around tourist facilities, and monitor sites at risk of landslides or other geological hazards.

Agriculture: Farmers are encouraged to drain excess water from rice fields and vegetable plots, take measures to control pests and diseases, and adjust rubber tapping schedules to avoid latex washout from heavy rain. Fruit growers are advised to spray orchards promptly to help prevent plant disease and insect infestations.
