Haikou Bay 2024 5km-10km Health Run: Everything You Need to Know

Looking for a way to stay active while enjoying the scenic views of Haikou Bay? The Haikou Bay 2024 5km-10km Health Run (2nd Annual) is the perfect opportunity to combine fitness, fun, and community spirit. As part of China’s “Healthy China” initiative, this event encourages people of all ages to adopt a healthier lifestyle through running. Here’s what you need to know to get involved.

Event Dates and Location

Haikou Bay 2024 5km-10km Health Run: Everything You Need to Know

Mark your calendars! The Health Run is happening on October 7, 2024, from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM, along the picturesque Haikou Bay Health Trail. The starting and finishing point is at FUNBAY (自在湾), a great spot to kick off and wrap up your race.

How to Register

You can register between September 19 and September 28, so don’t wait too long to sign up. Registration is open to individuals and teams, with a total of 1,000 spots available on a first-come, first-served basis. The registration fee is just 50 RMB per person, and there’s a 20% discount for teams of 15 or more.

Race Categories

The event features two main race categories:

Nanguo Health Run (5 km): Open to individuals (men and women) aged 10 and older, and teams of 15 or more.

Haikou Bay Stage Race (10 km): Open to individuals aged 14 and up, with a team race option for groups of 15 or more. Team scores are based on the top 10 runners from each group.

Both races will take runners along a loop that showcases the beautiful Haikou Bay.

What to Expect on Race Day

Race day is packed with activity! Here’s a quick look at the schedule:

10:00 AM – 5:00 PM: On-site registration and packet pick-up.

5:30 PM – 6:00 PM: Opening ceremony.

6:00 PM – 7:30 PM: The Health Run and Stage Race kick off.

7:30 PM – 8:00 PM: Awards ceremony.

Make sure to arrive early to pick up your race packet, which includes a Nanguo Health Energy Pack with a race shirt, bib number, Nanguo coconut water, and other product samples. It’s a great way to fuel up for the event.

Prizes and Awards

Cash prizes and trophies await the top finishers, with awards given to the top 10 runners in the 5 km race and the top 20 in the 10 km race. Team prizes are also up for grabs, with awards based on cumulative team performance.

Top 3 (5 km and 10 km) runners will receive cash prizes, trophies, and gift bags.

Runners finishing 4th to 20th will also receive cash rewards and Nanguo product packs.

Top-performing teams will be recognized with trophies and Nanguo products, a great incentive for groups to sign up together!

Important Notes

Participants under 18 need a signed waiver from a guardian.

Ensure you’re in good health before the event, especially if you have any medical conditions.

The event is timed, and runners are expected to follow the designated route.

Medical support and aid stations will be available along the course to ensure everyone’s safety.
