Heavy rain expected in Hainan this week.
A fresh wave of cold air will sweep across most regions in central and eastern China, lowering temperatures and bringing winds and rainfall, the country’s top observatory said Saturday.
Affected by the cold air moving southward, areas of the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River as well as the northern regions of the river will see temperatures drop by as much as 4 to 8 degrees Celsius from Saturday to Tuesday, with some parts expecting a temperature plunge of up to 10 degrees.
Heavy rain or downpours are expected in parts of southern China’s Guangdong and Hainan provinces.
