Q. What’s the criteria for foreigners to apply for a work permit in Hainan Island, China?
A: (1) The applicants shall be aged 18 and above, have no criminal record, have a confirmed employer and possess the expertise required for the work.
(2) The applicant should be engaged in work in line with the economic and social development needs of Hainan province, applicants should be professionals urgently needed in the province (employment positions not included in the negative list or positions included in the negative list but within the total quota after the release of the negative list of work permits for foreigners in Hainan).
(3) All other provisions according to laws and regulations on foreigners working in China shall be followed.
