Hainan Provincial People’s Hospital updated nucleic acid requirements for treatment/admission from the 17th

Nucleic acid test requirements for people accompanying patients are equivalent to hospitalized patients.

According to the Hainan Provincial People’s Hospital, from October 17th, patients and accompanying personnel in the hospital must comply with the following nucleic acid requirements:

Patients and accompanying personnel who come from from normal epidemic prevention and control areas or low-risk areas within 7 days, and who are without common COVID-19 symptoms or other epidemiological issues should go to the outpatient department with green health code and nucleic acid negative results taken within 48 hours.

Patients and accompanying personnel who have lived in cities and counties outside Hainan Province or where local cases have occurred within 7 days (non-medium and high-risk areas), who are without common COVID-19 symptoms or other epidemiological issues should go to the outpatient clinic with a green health code and negative nucleic acid test results (two examinations within three days in the province (sampling intervals ≥ 24 hours, the latest nucleic acid results within 24 hours, subject to the reporting time).

Outpatient haemodialysis patients should have negative nucleic acid results within 48 hours (new haemodialysis patients should have negative nucleic acid results within 24 hours). Fever (≥ 37.3 ℃), dry cough and other respiratory symptoms should be referred to the fever clinic. Patients who have lived in areas with moderate or high risk within 7 days, whose health code is yellow or red, have other epidemiological issues, or have lived in Hong Kong, Taiwan or overseas within 90 days, should go to fever clinics or red and yellow code hospitals for treatment.

The wards of Hainan Provincial People’s hospital are under closed management. Except for special diagnosis and treatment needs, patients and their companions are strictly forbidden to go out. For patients who really need to be accompanied, the doctor in charge shall issue a medical order, the Department Director and the head nurse shall sign, and strictly implement the principle of one patient and one accompanying person. Nucleic acid test requirements for people accompanying patients are equivalent to hospitalized patients.
