December 17th, the Haikou Municipal Health Commission announced that the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine booster is available for people over the age of 18.
People over the age of 18 can go to vaccination clinics in Haikou for their second vaccination booster if it has been more than 6 months since their first booster.
According to the “Implementation Plan for the Second COVID-19 Vaccine Booster”, all vaccines approved for conditional marketing or emergency use can be used for the second dose.
Priority is given to sequential booster immunizations, or a second-dose booster with a vaccine that have good cross-immunity to the Omicron strain.
