In this episode, Patrick and Jake explore one of Haikou’s oldest food markets and discover some very unusual street food where locals like to eat.
The food market is located around 800 meters away from Zhong shan lu which is the tourist area of Qi lou old town. The market stretches across some 600 meters and it’s best to go early morning if you want the atmosphere.

The snack street is a 15-minute walk from the market around 1 – 1.5KM located here: 骑楼小吃街 qi lou xiao chi jie
The older less touristy market showcased in the video is around 50 meters south of the 骑楼小吃街 Qi lou snack street entrance.
