Heavy Rain Expected for Hainan Island Starting November 3rd

Starting November 3rd, Hainan Island is forecasted to enter a period of heavy rainfall that could last up to five days, especially in eastern areas. This rainfall pattern is expected to develop as the remnants of Typhoon Kong-rey move away, creating a shift in weather across the island.

Heavy Rain Expected for Hainan Island Starting November 3rd

Currently, Hainan Island is experiencing mostly clear skies, with today’s weather dominated by northerly airflow as Typhoon Kong-rey absorbs the last effects of Typhoon Trami. These clear conditions are likely to continue through November 1st and 2nd, bringing mostly sunny to partly cloudy weather across the island.

Heavy Rain Expected for Hainan Island Starting November 3rd

By November 3rd, however, a new weather system is expected to form over the South China Sea, bringing heavier rain. This rain will be driven by a mix of cool air and easterly winds, creating conditions similar to summer rains, but cooler.

According to forecasts, this rain may continue until mid-November, especially affecting the eastern areas of Hainan, where up to five consecutive days of significant rainfall are possible.

Residents and travellers are advised to prepare for expected rainfall and stay updated on local forecasts, as the prolonged rain may impact some areas over the coming days.
