Bo’ao Lecheng awards up to 25 million yuan to attract medical talents

May 5th, the Boao Lecheng International Medical Tourism Administration announced interim measures to attract doctors and talents in the innovation of medicine and medical equipment. Doctors, experts and teams practicing in the pilot area can be awarded a total bonus of 25 million yuan.

Specifically, the administration of the Pioneer District will award medical teams according to the type and quantity of the specific landing application of first innovative medical equipment.

15,000 RMB will be awarded for each case of the use of innovative drugs and medical devices to complete the first treatment or the first operation of categories 1-2; for the completion of the first operation in categories 3-4, 30,000 RMB will be awarded for each case.

In addition, the team that ranks first in the use of innovative medicines in the first quarter of the year and in the top three in terms of the cumulative number of awards, will be awarded 100,000 to 300,000 yuan depending on the actual situation.

The Pioneer District Administration will also award individual doctors who perform surgery based on the number of first innovative medical equipment applications.

For types 3-4 innovative medical device surgery, the annual cumulative completion of more than 10 cases will be awarded 20,000 yuan; the annual cumulative completion of more than 20 cases will be awarded 60,000 yuan; the annual cumulative completion of 30 cases will be awarded 120,000 yuan; annual cumulative completion of 50 cases will be awarded 250,000 yuan.

However, if the medical device application and application of innovative drugs and medical devices have been selected for real-world data clinical research projects, complete treatment or type 1-2 surgery, the reward amount will be halved.

No reward will be given after more than 200 cases have been used for a single variety of drugs and medical device.
