Extreme Weather Warning, Temperatures of 38 Degrees Expected Today in Haikou

Hot! Hot! Hot! The temperature is expected to reach a high of 38℃ in Haikou today, with an orange warning for high temperatures in effect. This is the first warning of its kind this year and is expected to continue until tomorrow.

With extreme temperatures hitting the island over the next few days, people have been asked to stay safe and take necessary precautions.

Schools and industry have been asked to implement heatstroke prevention and cooling measures.

  1. People should try to avoid outdoor activities during high temperature periods, and staff operating in high temperatures should shorten their continuous work time.
  2. Provide heatstroke prevention and cooling guidance to vulnerable groups such as school children, the elderly, and the sick, and take necessary protective measures.
  3. Relevant departments and units should pay attention to preventing fires caused by excessive power consumption and overloaded power loads such as electrical wires and transformers.

Parts of Haikou are expected to reach a temperature of 38.6℃.

The high temperatures will not end today.

Northern region: mostly sunny, partly cloudy, with isolated thunderstorms in some areas in the afternoon, with a low temperature of 23-25℃ and a high temperature of 35-38℃.

Central region: mostly sunny, partly cloudy, with a low temperature of 22-24℃ and a high temperature of 35-37℃.

Eastern region: mostly sunny, partly cloudy, with a low temperature of 22-24℃ and a high temperature of 32-34℃.

Western region: mostly sunny, partly cloudy, with isolated thunderstorms in some areas in the afternoon, with a low temperature of 24-26℃ and a high temperature of 36-38℃.

Southern region: mostly sunny, partly cloudy, with a low temperature of 23-25℃ and a high temperature of 34-36℃.
